As a web design firm, we get a lot of questions about what theme is best to use for our clients’ Santa Barbara business websites.
Truth be told, the best theme for your business is something of a subjective standard, but we’ve found the following themes to be pretty bulletproof. Bulletproof means that they handle a lot of flexibility, look good in numerous iterations, and have great support. Also, starting on a firm search engine optimization platform helps wonders, and all of the websites listed follow standard best practices for SEO, as outlined wonderfully in the ever-knowledgeable Moz.com website.
All are, of course, fully responsive. Let’s dive in.
- Divi – A beautiful and easy to manipulate theme from Elegant Themes. A drag-and drop builder helps to make the design process easily customizable. And while we’ve found this theme to be not the most robust on our list, it performs very well in almost all instances and the support is unparalleled.
- Avid – Avada is the #1 selling theme in the Themeforest Repository. With that many sales, there’s got to be good reason. It’s a very flexible theme and there is plenty you can do with it. The theme comes packed with some out-of-the-box templates you can use to make your site look as pretty as you want it to be.
- X theme – The X theme is the latest and greatest from the minds over at THEMECO. X theme prides itself on it’s easy-to-use interface, it’s drag and drop functionality, and the robust bootstrap platform it’s built upon. And we’ve found that it lives up to the hype. The X theme is a wordpress theme that is one of the most popular themes for budding web designers due to it’s flexibility and out-of-the-box solutions. If you’re interested in starting on a strong foundation, the X theme is a great place to start building your website. Plus, you get 6 months of support included with your purchase, as well as a massive forum following which can help you should you get stuck 7mo down the line :).
